This strain produces a traditional farmhouse style beer that is dry with notes of hay and strawberries. It tolerates high temperature fermentations, carries the STA1 gene, and has been classified as Saccharomyces cerevisiae var. diastaticus (super-attenuating yeast) using rapid PCR analysis.
